i’ll ball you up

last friday i played in my school’s faculty vs seniors basketball game. it was something i’ve always wanted to do and i figured that it’s probably my last year teaching i might as well do it while i still can. when i saw the email to sign up, i was in a particularly good mood so i signed up. after i thought about it a little more, i got really scared and i didn’t want to play anymore but i couldn’t get out of it. haha. well, here’s a picture of me “playing basketball” that night.

also, unbeknownst to me, we were also the half-time show-like entertainment. we had to dance to the electric slide cha cha cha (the first i’ve ever heard of this song), ymca, and the peanut butter and jelly song. ahhahahaha. here are my coworkers and i trying to do the ymca.

sigh. i haven’t been so embarrassed for a long time but it was funny and i had a good workout.

i’m up early on a saturday morning

i’ve brought back my blog. i’m glad it’s back, even though it was only gone for a couple days and i’m not sure if anyone noticed… probably not.

i deleted all my viddlers.

i might still make more except my current haircut makes me look … just ugh.

i am going to a humongous shoe sale blowout thing in los angeles today. i haven’t bought shoes in so long so even though i’m on a tight budget, i am allowing myself to have a guilt-free shopping day because a lot of my favorite shoes are slowly being worn out since they are all like four years old.

law school numbers is annoying

prach | law school application process | Tuesday, 29 April 2008

lawschoolnumbers.com has been dial-up slow this entire cycle. i pretty much only go on there to update my profile but i don’t have the time or patience to really view others’ profiles. it’s gotten a little better recently and with a lot of people winding down their cycles, it’s become highly addicting. it’s still slow during the day so i find myself staying up at ungodly hours just because lawschoolnumbers is moving a little closer to broadband speeds when the servers aren’t as overloaded.

forget law school…

things have been quiet lately

prach | Life | Sunday, 20 April 2008

i’ve been living my life and taking in the day-to-day. here are a few things that i’ve been enjoying:

seinfeld - this was my favorite show before it ended. i remembered my entire hall of about 70 people crowded around our tv in college to watch the series finale. i stopped watching reruns a few years ago because i was beginning to kill it. out of sheer boredom, i started watching it again and have rediscovered how enjoyable this show is. seinfeld is my favorite comedy again.

L’Oreal Infallible Lipgloss - the name of this gloss is pretty darn cheesy. this gloss caught my eye because it is supposed to be a moisturizing, long-lasting, one step lip-gloss. the day i bought it, i spent all my free time reading reviews on makeupalley. it got okay reviews but i loved it! it didn’t stay on 6 hours but the color lasts longer than anything else i’ve put on my lips and i love how sheer and wearable (and build-able) all the shades are. it smells like candy and actually doesn’t dry out your lips. i really like it. i own four shades. yes, i went overboard.

cover girl lash blast mascara - i had to try this mascara after all the raving about it that took place on makeupalley even though i do admit that i am a little late on the uptake. well, i finally got around to buying and trying this thing and i am pleasantly surprised. i consider myself a bit of a mascara snob because the only brand of mascara that i really approve of is lancome and no, i am not impressed by diorshow. so anyway, this mascara does a good job of plumping up my lashes and the brush is humongous but otherwise easy to use. the best part about the mascara is actually the formula and not the brush: it stays on FOREVER, doesn’t clump, flake, or smear easily and is a cinch to take off! i swear with other mascaras i practically have to rip off a layer of skin and several eyelashes just to get it off (with eye makeup remover and facial cleanser).

Pom Teas - are cool. actually, i hate tea. flavored tea are okay but i would prefer water over flavored tea any day. i have to confess that the only reason i bought pom is because it comes in those cool glasses that you can wash and reuse as regular glasses. that’s the only reason. the drink isn’t bad either. yes, i love my pom glass. i can’t wait to go buy more.

Molli Coolz Beaded Ice Cream - i am a sucker for ice cream but even more so when it’s beaded ice cream. i know everyone has had these at amusement parks, fairs, malls, etc but the cool thing is that now they sell them in grocery stores! now i can buy them by the box! okay, i have a confession to make: i don’t really go to the grocery store very often so for all i know these have been available for years… but hey… it’s new to me!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - this movie is awesome! i loved every minute of it. i would highly recommend it and i want to see it again very very soon. it had everything i need for a movie to make me happy.
